| Product name: | AERO 600 BM |
| Product type: | Air cleaner |
| Product uses: | Air cleaner has been designed specifically for removing and reducing of airborne particles micro-organisms. |
| Manufacturer: | Desinfinator Ltd, Enqvistinkatu 7 B, FI-33400 Tampere, Finland |
| Ultraviolet (UV-C) lamps. Generate germicidal ultraviolet (UV-C) radiation. | |
| Ionizers. Contain negative ion generators that charge airborne particles so they become attracted to and settle on surfaces or on electrostatic precipitators. | |
| Activated carbon. Act as absorbent to particles and ozone. |
| a) | Energy, radiation and emission hazards. In this evaluation, the most of the concern was connected to formation of limited amount of ozone by UV-C radiation inside the deivce. However, ozone is immediately absorbed to activate carbon and as a result no ozone emits from the device. UV source generates UV-radiation, which has as such damaging effects. In the device, however, UV lamps are operated in suitably designed, enclosed aluminum cover, which prevents direct observation of UV radiation. |
| b) | Biological hazards. Not identified hazards. |
| c) | Environmental hazards. At the end of rated life, when this lamp is removed from junction, please dispose of in accordance with local law (toxic waste). |
| d) | Hazards related due the use of the device. Not identified hazards. |
